Delete one or more pages from a PDF

A PDF often contains pages you do not need: a blank page at the end of a scan, a cover sheet, an off-topic annex, a duplicate. Removing them makes the file lighter, clearer for the recipient, and avoids sending unnecessary information.

This guide explains how to cleanly remove one or more pages from a PDF, how to keep only the pages you want, and how to do it without installing software or uploading your document.

Delete specific pages

With the Delete / Extract tool, open your PDF and select the pages to remove — a single one, a range (say 5 to 8), or several scattered pages. You immediately see a preview of the remaining document, then you export the new PDF. It is the fastest way to eliminate a blank page, a duplicate, or a section that is no longer needed.

Keep only the useful pages

Sometimes it is simpler to think in reverse: instead of deleting, you extract only the pages worth keeping. Handy when a 100-page report boils down to the 5 pages relevant to your reader. The same tool lets you tick the pages to keep and generate a smaller PDF, without touching the original, which stays intact on your device.

Reorder rather than delete

If your goal is to tidy things up (move a page, swap two sections, insert a page elsewhere), the Organise tool is better suited: it shows every page as a thumbnail you rearrange by drag and drop. Deleting, reordering and rotating can even be combined in a single pass before the final export.

A lighter and more discreet document

Removing surplus pages has a double benefit: the file weighs less, and above all you send only what is needed. Sending a PDF stripped of its internal annexes or drafts avoids inadvertently disclosing information the recipient has no business seeing. Since the whole operation happens in the browser, the original document never leaves your machine.
